When creating a sidetrack in ZoneVu, it’s our recommendation that you make a copy of the original Well for the sidetrack and delete the data back on the new Well to the sidetrack Kickoff-Point (KOP). This will preserve all the information and interpretations created during the drilling of the Original Wellbore.
Walkthrough:
Create your Sidetrack Well:
Navigate to the home Page and select the Well List
Filter to quickly find the Well you want to make a copy of
Right-click on the Well and select 'Copy' button
Give your new Well a unique UWI/API and Well Name
Click the 'OK' button
This will make an exact copy of the Well allowing you to delete the data back to the sidetrack KOP point.
Note: If you are using RigStream, you should make sure RigStream is pointing to the correct Well and Wellbore on the EDR Providers server.
