List of Common Errors:

Error/Warning Message: Failed to load wellbores: Error making request: Unauthorized

  • This error indicates the user credentials used for the RigStream Connection are not valid

FIX: Check and update the User Id and Password used for this WITSML Provider (Pason, Totco,...). Make sure RigStream Connection is up to date (RigStream Configuration Video)

Error/Warning Message: RigStream time log did not return all requested data within 1 min, 30 secs, so remaining data will be queried during next update. Latest retrieved Data is 4 days, 9 hours behind request time.

  • This warning indicates that RigStream is working correctly, but all the data requested from the WITSML server was not downloaded in the allotted time (1 minute and 30 seconds). The remaining data will continue being downloaded in the next RigStream update. The current downloaded dataset has 4 days and 9 hours' worth of data still to download

  • Because we perform a RigStream update every 2 minutes, we allow the system 1 minute and 30 seconds to download data

  • This warning usually occurs when a "Full Update" is initiated in a wells RigStream Settings pop-up and the data set is large and/or the connection to the WITSML server is slow. The system will continue to download the data set in each subsequent update until the entire dataset has been retrieved. You may see several other warnings while this occurs, but you should notice the lag time reduces with each new RigStream update

FIX: No fix is needed. The system is working correctly. Please wait for RigStream to fully download the requested data

Error/Warning Message: Could not find a well matching 'Well 123-45' on Pason' server

  • This error indicates that RigStream could not locate 'Well 123-45' on the Pason WITSML server. This is caused by the WISTML provider restricting data access to the User Profile used to set up the RigStream connection

FIX: Contact your WITSML provider and request they allow access to the well 'Well 123-45" for the User Profile used to set up the RigStream connection

Error/Warning Message: GetFromStore Request to WITSML store for log object failed. A connection attempt failed because the connection party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

  • This error indicates the RigStream could not connect to the WITSML provider's server or the server did not respond. This is due to one of three issues:

    1. The user credentials used to create the RigStream Connection are no longer valid

    2. The requested Well's data does not exist or the User Profile does not have access to the requested data

    3. The WITSML Provider is having server issues and is not sending out data

FIX: Make sure the user credentials used for the RigStream Connection are valid, then reach out to the WITSML Provider and make sure the User Profile used to set up the RigStream Connection has access to the Well's data and check if the WITSML Provider is experiencing any issues

Error/Warning Message: GetFromStore Request to WITSML store for log object failed. Http Error making request to "Website Address"

  • This error indicates that when RigStream reaches out to the particular website, it's unable to get a response. This indicates that the Survey or WITSML provider is having server or website issues.

FIX: Reach out to your WITSML or Survey provider to find out what issues they are experiencing with their servers/website

Error/Warning Message: Update of well log RigStream Log "Log Name" from TOTCO failed: Exception of type 'WellDataServer.WRQProviders.BackLogExceededException' was thrown.

  • This error indicates that when RigStream attempted to update the log data, an error was thrown by the WITSML Providers Servers

FIX: Email the WISTML provider and request they reset/refresh the WITSML connection for the particular well. This should clear the error on their servers
